Clock House call time on Ladies’ Top Club

Central’s ladies bowed out of the Top Club at the semi-final stage, losing 3-1 to Clock House BC

The singles, pairs and fours were all topsy-turvy games, with the lead changing hands several times. At one point all three of these matches were in Central’s favour.

First to finish was the singles, and although Lesley had the lead for the first half of the match her opponent gradually took control. First blood to Clock House.

Not long after Central took the pairs match with a strong finish and enough shot difference to compensate for the loss in the singles. One game apiece.

The Central triple never recovered from a big deficit at the start, which meant that the four had to win and do so by enough shots to gain an aggregate win over all. Despite Central being ahead in the middle of the match Clock House ran out winners of that rink as well.

The final score was 3-1 to Clock House
